Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality. It’s about sharing books that you are adding to your shelves regardless if they are virtual or physical. This means that you can include books you buy in a store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and ebooks!
Book loaned from a friend
I’ve been hearing such rave reviews about Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens since this book came out. However, it’s outside of my preferred genres that I typically read, so I wanted to borrow it from the library before I purchased it. I’ve been on the library wait list for MONTHS, and I am still 50 something away from getting this book! My friend surprised me this week with her copy to borrow!!! I can’t wait to see if this book lives up to the hype.
NetGalley Approval
I screamed when I read that I was approved for Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout!!! I am a huge fan of hers. I loved her Half-blood (demigod) series and the Lux series. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for gargoyles!!
Physical books
So I don’t know if everyone saw this sale last Saturday, but Target had buy two books get one free on special. All those books came in this week! I already read and loved both The Cruel Prince and The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein but needed this for my shelves. I can’t wait to start reading books by Jay Kristoff because the man is a legend. I also had to get a psychological thriller because that’s just how I roll.
Also, my February Books for Coffee subscription from The Book Drop came in! I am one of their Brand Ambassadors (If you ever want to try their subscription, use my code CHEMIST to get 10% off your first order). I’m really looking forward to reading The Drowning by J.P. Smith. The Book Drop does an amazing job of hand curating the subscriptions (they are an independent bookstore), so this thriller will surely not disappoint!
Have you added any of these books to your shelves recently? What did you add this week?
My friend gave me Where the Crawdads Sing as a Christmas present – she also really liked it. I am halfway through and so far so good! Happy reading!

I hope you love those books. My husband got me Strange The Dreamer and Muse of Nightmares for Valentine’s Day. And I bought A River in Darkness for March’s girly book club which I am hoping to join.

Awesome! When are you planning on reading Strange? I have one more ARC before I get to it… but I’d love to buddy read it with someone so I can talk about it!

I probably won’t be able to get to it until the end of March because of ARC catch ups.

What a great line up. I love the cover of Storm and Fury, and I’ve had The Cruel Prince on my radar. So much to read and so little time!

I know! If only there was more hours in the day for reading.
