The highly anticipated sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder! More dark secrets are exposed in this addictive, true-crime fueled mystery.

Pip is not a detective anymore.

With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.

But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.

The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

After solving a murder mystery that rocked Fairview, Pip is back but she’s done with the investigation life. Following the near death experiences and other horrible repercussions, she wants to leave it all behind.

Thar doesn’t last long since the older brother of Pip’s best friend vanishes without a trace. And to make things worse, the police don’t believe that there’s foul play since Jamie didn’t have the best reputation. It’s now up to Pip (with boyfriend Ravi in tow) to find out what exactly happened Jamie before it’s too late.

As with a Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, we are back with the full cast audio that features podcast interviews, messages, and texts dispersed throughout to plot to really give the reader an immersive and atmospheric experience as the investigation folds.

From start to finish, there were lots of twists and turns along the way. As with book one, there were quite a few red herrings, so I wasn’t ready for the final reveal and I was here for it.

I definitely enjoyed the dynamic of both Pip and Ravi together working as a team this time around since the chemistry was already established. There’s no awkwardness, and I just genuinely love Ravi for Pip.

Overall, this was a great follow up to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder with a continuation of some of my favorite characters. I’m definitely excited to see what’s next. Oh, and I loved the nod to how the podcast got its name.

Thank you to Penguin Random House Audio for providing an advanced listening copy. This did not influence my review. All opinions are my own.
