Currently Reading

Meet Cute by Helena Hunting – I read an extended preview of this book on NetGalley and instantly fell in love with Kailyn and Dax. I read half of the book last night after picking it up from my library on release day. This story is SO good!

The Mother’s Mistake by Ruth Heald (eARC) – I’m only a few chapters into this psychological thriller, and it already has me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see what happens.

Recently Finished

The Stars Now Unclaimed by Drew Williams – 4 stars. This was my first space opera, and from start to finish, it was action packed and full of epic battles. I can’t wait for book two to come out this summer! Here is my review.

If I can Make it Here by Jamie Rose (eARC) – 4.5 stars. I instantly fell in love with Madeline’s character because she’s so incredibly relatable. This was such a fantastic story about second chances not only in romance but also in life as well. My review will be posted this Friday, which is publishing day.

Again, but Better by Christine Riccio (eARC) – 4 stars. I’m really glad that I didn’t know anything about this author prior to reading the book because I thought it was a great debut. I think if I would’ve gone into the book realizing how much the MC was portrayed after the author, I probably would’ve felt a lot differently. Here is my review.

Cliff’s Edge by Meg Tilly (eARC) – 5 stars. Oh. My. God. I LOVED this book! I went into this book thinking that it was a romance. I didn’t realize it was a romantic thriller, and I was utterly hooked after the first chapter. I literally couldn’t put this book down. The romance was excellent. The suspense was chilling. New fan of Meg Tilly! Review coming closer to publication date (21 May 2019).

No Place Like Here by Christina June (not pictured) (eARC) – 3 stars. I requested this book on NetGalley because the blurb said that it was a modern Hansel & Gretel retelling, which I am all for fairytale retellings. To quote my husband, ‘this is a Hansel & Gretel retelling if Homeward Bound is also a Hansel & Gretel retelling’. This YA contemporary is alright, but it just wasn’t what I wanted.
