WWW Wednesdays: 27 February 2019

Hey bookworms!! It’s Wednesday! That means it’s time for another WWW Wednesday post hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you will read next?

Currently Reading

  • Do You Dream of Terra-Two? by Temi Oh (ARC) – I’m loving this book. It follows six exceptional teenagers who were selected (after rigorous training) to pilot the exploration to Terra-Two. And of course, all hell is breaking loose.
  • The Girl of the Tower (Tornnis Trilogy #1) by Paula Ottoni (eARC) – when I said dark retelling of Rapunzel, I meant it. A new girl is trapped in a tower for ten years then slaughtered to provide the next decade’s worth of magic for the entire realm. So good. So terribly wrong.
  • The Shadowverse: A YA Sci-Fi Superhero Thriller by John-Clement Gallo – this one reminds of me of YA Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m only about 30% in, but it’s definitely a lot of fun!

Recently Finished Reading

  • Little Darlings by Melanie Golding (ARC) – This book was incredibly chilling page after page, yet I couldn’t stop reading. The idea of possessed/changed children is something out of my worst nightmares. This was a good read. I gave it 4 stars. Here’s my review.
The Everlasting Rose by Dhionelle Clayton (eARC) – I was incredibly disappointed with how the sequel to The Belles was executed. The Belles was one of my absolute favorite reads last year and was 5 stars. I still enjoyed this one, but it wasn’t more than 3 stars for me. Here’s my review.

Up Next to Read:

  • Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams (ARC) – I CAN’T WAIT TO READ THIS BOOK!!!! This is one of my most anticipated reads. This is an own voices book for me. I’m so excited that I got my hands on an ARC.
  • Her Closest Friend by Clare Boyd (eARC) – Another psychological thriller courtesy of Bookouture. I love their authors, so I can’t wait to dive into this! Also, I love this cover!

Have you read any of these books? Are any of these on your TBR? Let’s discuss! Feel free to drop your WWW Wednesday link as well 🙂
